Calculations and data

What does BatchBite calculate?

BatchBite uses the whole-batch calories and macros you reviewed, the measured final cooked weight, and the number of grams in a named plated portion:

portion nutrients = batch nutrients × portion grams ÷ cooked batch grams

The result is only as reliable as the whole-batch nutrition totals and weights entered. BatchBite does not verify the source values or invent missing totals.

Where is my meal data?

Recipes, portion names, batches, and meal logs are stored locally on your iPhone. BatchBite 1.0 has no account, cloud sync, or household-sharing server.

Why do leftovers show as unallocated?

BatchBite conserves the cooked weight. Anything not assigned to a portion remains visible as unallocated grams. It may be food still in the container, scale or rounding variance, or a portion you have not entered. BatchBite never silently turns it into an assumed serving.

Can I correct a saved batch?

Yes. A correction requires a reason, replaces the active batch state only after validation, and appends the complete previous state to its correction history. Existing consumed-log snapshots remain unchanged unless you explicitly correct that log with its own reason.

A value looks wrong. What should I check?
  • The reviewed calories and macros cover the entire cooked recipe.
  • The final edible cooked weight excludes the container.
  • Each portion weight excludes its plate or bowl.
  • The same unit—grams—is used for both batch and portions.

If allocated grams exceed the cooked weight, correct a portion or reweigh the remaining food.

Subscriptions and billing

How do I restore a purchase?
  1. Confirm the iPhone is signed in to the Apple ID that bought BatchBite.
  2. Open BatchBite’s paywall or choose Settings → Restore Purchases.
  3. Wait for the App Store confirmation.

If no subscription is found, verify it under iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

How do I manage or cancel?

Open BatchBite → Settings → Manage Subscription, or visit Apple’s Manage Subscriptions page. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I request a refund?

Apple handles App Store billing and refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. BatchBite does not receive your payment-card information and cannot issue an App Store refund directly.

The plans are still loading. What should I do?
  1. Confirm the device has an internet connection and the App Store is available.
  2. Wait a moment, then tap Retry.
  3. Quit and reopen BatchBite.
  4. Confirm iOS is up to date enough to run the app.

If the issue continues, email support with the app version, build number, iPhone model, iOS version, country storefront, and exact message shown. Never send Apple credentials or payment information.

Local data and onboarding

How do I delete local data?

Delete individual batches from the Batches list and individual meal logs from Today. BatchBite 1.0 has no bulk-delete command. Removing the app removes its local container, subject to any Apple-managed device backup. Deleting content or the app does not cancel BatchBite Pro.

Can I run onboarding again?

Yes. Choose Settings → Run Onboarding Again. This changes your setup answers without deleting saved nutrition content.
