Privacy policy

Effective August 24, 2026. This policy explains how Cankola Builds (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the BatchBite iOS app.

The short version: Your recipes, portion names, cooked batches, weights, nutrition values, and meal logs stay on your iPhone. We do not require a BatchBite account, operate a nutrition-data server, sell personal information, or use advertising trackers. Apple and RevenueCat process information needed to sell and manage subscriptions.

Information stored on your device

BatchBite stores the following in its private app container or system preferences on your device:

  • Recipe names, reviewed whole-batch nutrition totals, and correction notes you enter.
  • Cooked batch weights and dates.
  • Names you assign to portions.
  • Portion weights, calculated nutrition values, meal slots, and meal dates.
  • Display targets, onboarding choices, selected plan preference, and app settings.
  • Local diagnostic events that identify app flows, such as a paywall view or restore result.

This content provides BatchBite’s calculation, history, personalization, and display features. BatchBite does not transmit this nutrition or household content to us. If device backup is enabled, Apple may include app-container data in a backup according to your Apple and iCloud settings.

Subscriptions and transactions

Apple processes purchases through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to determine whether the pro subscription entitlement is active, load available products, process purchase results, and restore purchases.

Apple and RevenueCat may process an app-scoped or vendor-provided identifier; product identifiers; purchase, renewal, expiration, and transaction status; app and operating-system versions; device/platform information; IP address; and technical diagnostics needed to operate and protect their services.

We do not receive your full payment-card number or Apple ID password. See Apple’s Privacy Policy and RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

BatchBite version 1.0 does not include a remote product-analytics service. Typed funnel events are written to Apple’s unified logging system on the device for diagnostics and are not sent to a BatchBite analytics server.

We do not show third-party advertising, access the advertising identifier, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, sell or rent personal information, or use nutrition and household information to build advertising profiles.

Apple may provide developers with aggregated App Store analytics under Apple’s policies. RevenueCat provides aggregated subscription and entitlement reporting.

Permissions and sensitive data

BatchBite version 1.0 does not request access to HealthKit, camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, Bluetooth, motion, or notifications. BatchBite is a nutrition logging and calculation aid, not a medical device. Please do not send medical records or other sensitive health information in a support email.

Support communications

If you contact support, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to provide. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain a record of the support interaction. Do not attach recipe or household data unless it is necessary and you choose to share it.

Support email is handled by the providers used for the cankolabuilds.com mailbox. We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Retention and deletion

  • Local app content remains on your device until you delete the relevant saved batch or log, or remove the app.
  • Running onboarding again does not delete recipes, batches, portions, or logs.
  • BatchBite 1.0 does not include a bulk-delete command. Removing the app removes its app container, subject to any Apple-managed device backup.
  • Apple and RevenueCat retain subscription and transaction records under their own policies and legal obligations. Deleting local data does not cancel a subscription or erase Apple’s transaction history.

Because we do not receive your local nutrition content, we generally cannot access, export, correct, or delete it for you. You control that content on the device. For Apple or RevenueCat data-rights requests, use the rights processes in their respective privacy policies.

Legal bases and disclosures

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, local processing is necessary to provide the features you request; subscription processing is necessary to perform the subscription agreement; support processing is necessary to respond to you; and limited operational records may be processed for legitimate security, reliability, and compliance purposes.

We may disclose information from a support interaction if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business reorganization, subject to applicable legal safeguards. We do not have access to disclose local nutrition content that never leaves your device.

Children

BatchBite is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information through support may contact us to request deletion.

International processing

Apple, RevenueCat, and support-service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Their policies describe their transfer safeguards. Local app content remains in the device and backup environment you control unless you choose to send it to support.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as BatchBite changes. We will revise the effective date and, when required, provide notice in the app or through the App Store. A material change will not retroactively turn local nutrition content into remotely collected data without an updated product and privacy disclosure.
